About Shiatsu

Shiatsu is an ancient Japanese healing art – "Shi" meaning finger and "Atsu" meaning pressure. It is more than a massage; it is a dialogue through touch, restoring the natural flow of Qi (life energy) within the body.

Through gentle yet deep pressure along meridians and acupressure points, Shiatsu creates a safe space where:

  • Stress and tension dissolve naturally
  • The body's own healing ability is activated
  • Joy of life and inner growth can flourish
  • Harmony is restored at physical, emotional, and energetic levels

Shiatsu is always practiced on the dressed body, either on a floor mattress or massage table.

Gate Points for Birth

Expectant mothers and their partners are invited to discover what Ulrike Urvasi calls “Gate Points” – simple yet powerful acupressure techniques that bring calmth, confidence and connection to pregnancy and Birth.

Couples may choose between:

  • A two-hour introduction (as a couple or group)
  • A weekend workshop (9:00 AM – 3:00 PM) with exercises and guidance
  • A six-day seminar for deeper holistic exploration

Each format offers practical tools for partners to support mothers with presence and trust.

Shiatsu supports children and adolescents in school life.

Samurai Shiatsu

A playful program through conscious touch, playful movement and sharing with a friend - always at their own peace. Teaches mindfulness, respect, posture, and relaxation through touch and movement.

For adolescents, Shiatsu provides balance in times of inner change, reducing stress, improving focus and deepening connection with self and others.

Program Options include:

  • A two-hour introduction for first experiences of mindful touch
  • A three half-days workshop for nourishing the ones a bit more curious
  • A six half-days/ afternoons workshop to learn enough to share Shiatsu with friends

Students gain self-care tools and learn to support each other, fostering focus, resilience and inner peace.

Six-Day Seminar

A retreat-style introduction with Ulrike Urvasi.

What you will explore:

  • Twelve classical meridians
  • Five elements and their meaning in daily life
  • Qigong and energy practices for health
  • Conscious movement, stretches, and breathing

What You'll Achieve

By the end, you'll be able to give basic Shiatsu sessions to friends and family.Note: Full therapist training extends over three years. This seminar is a rich and inspiring beginning.
